About The Position

IDS tailors solutions for a diverse range of government, military, nonprofit, and public-sector clients. This position is contingent upon contract award. Conducts facility reviews in support of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) inspections. Evaluates and reviews TEMPEST products from manufacturers and determines TEMPEST requirements to protect against compromising emanations both domestically and overseas. Responsible for overseeing all operations at a Northern Virginia-based laboratory and storage facility, including addressing any issues that may arise, maintaining the facility, and managing inventory of all equipment. The TEMPEST Standards and Policy Analyst is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition, to support facility operations, inspections, and policy development.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. Government final Top Secret Personnel Security Clearance and able to qualify for SCI access.
  • Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.
  • At least five years of experience involving TEMPEST research, design, or testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar area of study is desired.
  • Specific knowledge of Department of State regulations and policies for TEMPEST emanations and technical security countermeasures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Intelligence Community standards and directives.
  • Substantive knowledge and understanding of regulations governing the use of classified materials.
  • Understanding of radio frequency (RF) testing equipment use and processes.
  • Knowledge of acoustics is highly desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition.
  • Good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of acoustics is highly desired.
