About The Position

The Dispatcher at Temperanceville Feed Mill is responsible for managing the scheduling and dispatching of feed loads while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. The role requires effective communication with service technicians and growers, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day. The position involves working in various environmental conditions and requires physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and climbing. The Dispatcher will also maintain good housekeeping and follow all health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in a related field with clerical and/or feed mill experience.
• Knowledge of DOT trucking procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and write to receive and document orders.
• Schedule loads of feed by creating and organizing feed tickets.
• Dispatch loads of feed and distribute them evenly among drivers/team members.
• Answer calls from Service Techs and Growers while maintaining good relationships.
• Organize and flex tasks, changing priorities as needed.
• Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments.
• Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
• Work in elevated areas and follow safety procedures.
• Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines.
• Maintain good housekeeping in service areas.
• Communicate with all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors.
• Follow and operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
• Lift up to 60 lbs and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders/stairs while sustaining physical activity.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
