About The Position

The Tempe Groups & Enrichment Pastor at Scottsdale Bible Church is responsible for leading and nurturing ministry groups, fostering spiritual growth, and building meaningful connections within the church community. This role involves managing large projects, executing mission strategies, and overseeing the development of group leaders and volunteers. The pastor will work closely with the Tempe Campus Pastor to ensure the vision, mission, and values of the church are carried out effectively.

Requirements

• Master of Arts or Master of Divinity or equivalent education.
• 5+ years of demonstrated ministry leadership experience.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficient knowledge of the Bible and theology.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage vision and purpose, conflict management, and lead groups of volunteers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Comfortable with learning new database systems and virtual platforms.
• Experience in leadership during organizational transitions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining a simple and effective assimilation process for groups.
• Support a promotional strategy for various groups.
• Develop and execute a system to coach group leaders.
• Create oversight structures for nurturing group leaders.
• Recruit, train, and appreciate volunteers for the ministry.
• Develop and lead an attractional college ministry for ages 18-24.
• Plan and oversee a College Ministry programming and event calendar.
• Provide pastoral care for the College Ministry.
• Encourage college students to connect into weekend worship services.
• Identify and create serving opportunities for volunteers.
• Provide biblical counseling to church members.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and communion as needed.
• Preach and teach in various settings.
