About The Position

Responsible for assisting with recreational activities and services for all persons using the Garland recreation centers. The position starts at a hiring range of $13.00/hr.

Requirements

• Education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Age – 16 years and up.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year experience in a recreation or sports facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to the public regarding recreation center activities.
• Register participants for classes and activities.
• Assist the public via phone or walk-up to give information regarding programs, schedules and other related information.
• Perform custodial and customer service to keep the Recreation Center clean, orderly and properly set up for events and activities.
• Assist in inventory control of equipment and supplies.
• Supervise recreation activities and events.
• Enforce and maintain City and Department policies as needed including interpreting and relating department rules and policies to customers.
