The Department of Midwifery is seeking a professional Teaching Assistant for the Clinical Skills 3 course for specific days during fall quarter 2024. The course covers midwifery skills such as simulated perineal suturing, simulated cervical exam, artificial rupture of membranes, hand maneuvers for receiving the baby, estimating blood loss, treating postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal resuscitation. TAs are responsible for aiding the instructor in supporting student needs during class time and supervising skills practice. The instructor is looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is self-motivated and organized. The Midwifery program is hybrid, so students are only in the classroom once a month. These are the days/times that the professional TA is needed: * Oct 8, 1-6pm * Nov 4, 1-6pm * Dec 3, 3-6pm.
