As a Temp Nonexempt Worker, you will serve as a scribe, documenting patient encounters on behalf of the provider. You will be trained at the Clinic, working alongside physicians to learn accurate and efficient medical charting. In this role, you will manage all documentation for patient visits and assist with administrative, clerical, patient service, and operational support duties. This position is essential to Cleveland Clinic’s operations, making you a valued and greatly appreciated member of our caregiver family. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Completed one year of the Scribe Fellowship program
  • Some positions may require additional education or training
  • Experience required will vary by assigned department and position

Responsibilities

  • Take direction from an assigned supervisor or leader.
  • Follow all department procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete daily assignments, projects or tasks.
  • Maintain equipment, files and databases.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities or meetings that recommend actions to improve results.
  • Assist with patient service functions once trained and assigned.
  • Document patient encounters on behalf of the provider.
  • Work alongside physicians to learn accurate and efficient medical charting.
