About The Position

The Tech Temp will use various characterization tools to study graphene and graphene heterostructures, in support of the general research effort in the epigraphene lab in the School of Physics: morphology (atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy), structure (X-ray diffraction) and chemical composition (electron diffraction spectroscopy, x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy). The research team includes Regent Professor Walt de Heer, Professor of the Practice Claire Berger, 3 graduate students, 1 postdoc and 4 undergrad research assistants. The epigraphene lab is equipped with growth furnaces, graphene characterization tools, as well as device fabrication and measurements.
