About The Position

This Part Time Teller position at Lake Isabella involves a variety of banking transactions, including receiving checks and cash deposits, verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsement, and entering deposits into computer records. The role also requires cashing checks, processing withdrawals, and paying out money after verifying signatures and customer balances. Tellers are expected to promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders. Responsibilities include receiving mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments, ensuring they match the balance due, entering payments into the computer, and generating customer receipts. The position also entails counting, checking, and packaging coins and currency, ensuring teller stations are properly stocked, and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers. Delivering outstanding customer service, assisting with account opening procedures, pinning ATM/Debit cards, and documenting/filing items into synergy are also key tasks. Occasional travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Good mathematical skills
