Requirements

  • Knowledge of banking regulations and practices consistent with that normally obtained through 18 months of education or training beyond high school, or equivalent.
  • Skills and abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions--such as customer service and transactional duties, data entry, basic mathematical calculations, and communication skills.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Approximately two years of experience in banking or a related field.
  • Knowledge of bank regulations.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for typical office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations in the branch Retail department.
  • Providing quality customer service by accurately processing transactions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Managing and monitoring the activities and performance of the branch Retail department and subordinates.
  • Accurately approving customer transactions.
  • Accurately processing customer transactions, including but not limited to counting cash, accepting deposits, and processing withdrawal requests.
  • Promoting bank products and services, including recognizing opportunities for referrals to Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, and other lines of business.
  • Participating in sales campaigns by educating customers on the benefits of the targeted products and services.
  • Assisting customers with accounts and other related inquiries.
  • Strictly adhering to bank policies, procedures, and controls over customer transactions, cash and security.
  • Providing guidance and training to branch retail staff.
  • Monitoring subordinates compliance with bank policies, procedures, and controls over customer transactions, cash and security.
  • Providing administrative support to other retail and lending staff to meet the needs of the customer and assist in the sales efforts of the facility.
  • Effectively and fluently communicating with customers, co-workers, and other business contacts within a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels by proactively participating and contributing to a positive work environment.
