About The Position

The Teller Lead at California Bank & Trust is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of client service associates (tellers) at the Lake Arrowhead branch. This role emphasizes coaching and developing staff to enhance customer service and operational skills while ensuring quality service and compliance with banking regulations. The position also involves expanding the client base through effective sales techniques and may include processing cash transactions and other customer service duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years banking, cashiering, customer service, balancing, or related experience, or successful completion of company approved training.
  • Advanced knowledge of cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products and/or banking.
  • Working knowledge of math.
  • Solid balancing and customer service skills.
  • Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients needs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the daily activities of client service associates.
  • Coaches and counsels branch staff to improve customer service, sales and operational skills by providing on-the-job training.
  • Helps develop action plans to meet individual and branch goals.
  • Ensures the branch provides quality service while protecting against loss.
  • Maintains advanced knowledge of branch operations.
  • May supervise branch activities in the absence of, or in conjunction with branch management team.
  • Expand client base through successful selling and coaching techniques including lending applications, cross-selling of bank services and products and assisting clients in every area of banking.
  • May be responsible for processing cash transactions and other customer service duties within the branch.
  • Other duties as assigned.
