Job Summary The Telesitter Monitor Technician is responsible for continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients through a non-recording video monitoring system
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Basic computer skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills necessary
- Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet competing deadlines
- Ability to extend and maintain discretion and confidentiality when working with patients
Responsibilities
- Monitor potentially life threatening risk behaviors exhibited by low risk suicidal patients and patients at high risk for falls, elopement, violence,etc.
- Verbally redirect or STAT alarm patient risk behaviors while notifying nursing staff for assistance
- Ensures all patient information is entered into the monitoring hardware device correctly and information is documented in the Telesitter monitoring log
- Monitors use and distribution of telesitter monitoring devices throughout the assigned unit
- All other related assigned duties
