This position reports to the Supervisor of Telerecruitment and ultimately the Manager of Donor Center Recruitment. The Telerecruitment Shift Leader is responsible for running the day to day calling operations for the department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general equivalency required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people and to maintain professional public relations through excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and leadership skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Computer skills required. Must have experience with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the donor calling operations and systems to maximize efficiency—monitors, reports and adjust calling campaigns to insure optimal performance.
  • Maintains accurate and updated donor data (data cleansing and data entry), ensure correct documentation, quality assurance, quality control, document accuracy and completeness, follows procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Provides leadership to staff, assisting with daily objectives, questions and system or product issues.
  • Answers all incoming telephone and routes appropriately. Handles inquires of recruitment, reschedules and cancellations for all past and potential blood donors.
  • Serve as back up to Management and Supervisors in their absence
  • Perform Telerecruiter duties as needed.
  • Accountable for achieving individual, department and company blood collection goals through efficient donor scheduling for Rhode Island Blood Center.
  • Adheres to and ensures that all Rhode Island Blood Center, Donor Resource Department and Telerecruitment Department policies and procedures are abided by.
  • Maintains professional communications with co-workers, donors, sponsors and other Rhode Island Blood Center departments. Displays effective interpersonal relations, projects professional image and support mission statement by words and actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of blood collection criteria and RIBC standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
