About The Position

Centurion Health team is looking to add a full-time Telepsychiatrist to our team providing services to various State Correctional Facilities throughout the state of Illinois. As the leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities nationwide, we have partnered with the Illinois Department of Corrections to provide mental healthcare services. Our psychiatric team enjoys working with a clinically rich and diverse patient population and has the time to initiate change, track progress, and conduct better follow-up with the patients in our care. The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO Illinois license or ability to obtain
• Active, unrestricted DEA
• Board Certified in a Psychiatry specialty is required
• Ability to pass credentialing, drug screening and background check
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients
• Works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director
• Provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
