About The Position

The Telephone Triage RN is responsible for triaging incoming calls from clients, assessing their needs to determine the severity of their conditions, and recommending appropriate levels of healthcare or self-management. This role involves facilitating referrals to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources, as well as educating clients on care advice and preventive behaviors. The position emphasizes active listening and effective communication to provide appropriate patient care across various age groups.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong inbound and outbound telephonic communication skills.
• Superior nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude, with the ability to navigate a Windows environment.

Nice To Haves

• RN AMB-BC certification preferred.
