Position Responsibilities: We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented CMA or LPN to join our Telephone Triage team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming patient calls related to medical and post-surgical questions and concerns, providing timely and empathetic support while adhering to clinical protocols. You will handle tasks such as assessing the urgency of patient concerns, referencing medical records to gather pertinent information, offering appropriate guidance, and documenting in real-time all patient phone encounters. This role also involves communicating with physicians and other providers on behalf of patients, processing prescription refills per provider orders, and receiving and reviewing INR reports to relay results. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a Telephone Triage CMA/LPN, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management.

Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant or LPN program and active certification/licensure in the state of Illinois is required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, medical terminology, and strong customer service and documentation skills.
  • Must be able to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior phone triage experience preferred.
