Telephone Triage Nurse
About The Position
Grace Health is seeking a Telephone Triage Nurse to provide professional telephone nursing care for Grace Health patients. Candidates need to have an RN license to be considered for this position. This individual will work Monday - Friday, 8 am- 5 pm. No weekend or holiday shifts! Grace Health offers a competitive wage, a generous benefits package, and a sign-on bonus! This remote position is available to candidates residing in Michigan. Candidates will be required to complete the 6-week orientation and training on-site. Please note that the Flu vaccine is a minimum work requirement at Grace Health.
Requirements
- Flu vaccine
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Five years of professional nursing experience preferred, including one year medical/surgical experience
- Possession of a State Registered nursing license.
Responsibilities
- Collects the health status of the caller.
- Uses symptom based protocols to evaluate the needs of the patient.
- Advises patients about healthcare options.
- Maintains a log of all calls.
- Documents assessment, interventions/options offered, the agreed upon plan of care and the protocol used in the medical record.
- Collaborates with other Grace Health staff regarding patient care.
- Identifies patients who need referrals to other community agencies.
- Processes requests for prescription refills and lab results.
- Processes incoming calls to the Neighborhood.
