About The Position

As a Telephone (PBX) Operator at Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through effective communication and operational support. This role involves managing phone calls, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. You will also maintain knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions, while adhering to security and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Entry-level position with willingness to train.
• Previous hotel experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service roles.
• Familiarity with hotel credit and check cashing policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel amenities and layout, local attractions, and airport transportation.
• Accurately provide directions and information regarding the immediate and metro area.
• Read logbook(s) and memos daily to stay updated on in-house groups and functions.
• Demonstrate readiness to assist guests by 'posting up' in the lobby area.
• Follow security procedures regarding room keys and masters.
• Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
• Handle guest check-in and check-outs in a courteous and professional manner.
• Promote guest-related programs such as Marriott Rewards and Comment Cards.
• Maintain neatness and order in the work area.
• Handle multiple tasks during peak times while demonstrating thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Record customer complaints in the Guest Response Program in a timely manner and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Prepare wake-up call sheets and handle mail and messages as per outlined procedures.
