About The Position

This position is for a nursing role within the federal service, specifically targeting candidates with advanced practice nursing qualifications. Requirements

• Graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a professional nurse.
• Specialized experience in midwifery and advanced practice nursing.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

Nice To Haves

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in nursing or related medical science field.
• Experience in providing independent diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide midwifery services under supervision.
• Manage the care of women during the prenatal, intrapartum, and post-partum periods.
• Provide family planning, gynecological care, counseling, health education, and preventive services.
• Perform well women exams and assess patients and deliveries of newborns.
• Recognize and respond to obstetric complications and emergencies.
• Manage routine low-risk pregnant patients and collaborate with consulting obstetricians for high-risk cases.
• Provide a full spectrum of midwifery services including triage and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with community programs and regional healthcare facilities to improve patient care coordination.
