About The Position

This position is for a nursing role within the federal service, specifically targeting candidates with advanced practice nursing qualifications. Requirements

  • Graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted nursing license.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
  • Experience in a specialty area of nursing for GS-9 and above.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
  • Experience in advanced practice nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide midwifery services under supervision.
  • Manage care of women during prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
  • Perform well-women exams and assess patients and deliveries of newborns.
  • Provide primary health care with emphasis on reproductive health.
  • Recognize and respond to obstetric complications and emergencies.
  • Triage patients and provide treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with community programs and healthcare facilities.
