We are seeking a Telemetry Unit Secretary for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The unit secretary is responsible and accountable for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit, performs receptionist duties and maintains supplies/equipment for the unit. The unit secretary participates in a positive patient experience including supporting RNs in the delivery of patient care items and providing meal companionship to patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Public contact and clerical experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit.
  • Performs receptionist duties.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment for the unit.
  • Supports RNs in the delivery of patient care items.
  • Provides meal companionship to patients.
