About The Position

Responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Accurately interprets cardiac rhythms and differentiates between lethal, serious and benign rhythms and informs the RN of a lethal arrhythmia in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• AHA BLS required
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology required
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English required
• Possess the emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment
• Possess computer skills sufficient enough to effectively use Telemetry Monitoring System with accuracy for admitting, discharging, ordering, charging and patient scheduling
• Demonstrates competency in performing the skills necessary for telemetry technician

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year previous telemetry experience in an acute care hospital preferred
• Previous clerical, receptionist, physician's office experience or appropriate medical training preferred
• Computer skills sufficient to use Welch Allyn Acuity Monitoring System with accuracy for admitting, discharging, ordering, charging, and patient scheduling
• Experience as a unit clerk in an acute care hospital preferred
