About The Position

Overview: 0.3FTE- 12 hrs per week, day shift, every third weekend Minimum pay- $19.10 per hour Job Description Summary: Monitors and records data from medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety. Responsible for equipment maintenance. Job Description: Essential Functions: Maintain appropriate heart rhythm tracing. Recognizes normal heart rhythm, artifact, and life threatening heart rhythms. Respond to all monitor alarms, report heart rhythm changes to RN or MD promptly. Clean, maintain, and inventory all equipment associated with cardiac monitors and other equipment as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider), required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous health care experience as a Nursing Assistant, Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, nursing student, EMT, Medic or experience with cardiology patients, required.
  • Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.

  • Ability to identify abnormal rhythms and or changes in rhythms preferred
