Telemetry Technician - PRN - Days - Cardiac Telemetry
About The Position
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, the Telemetry Technician collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient care. The role involves continual observation and documentation of electrocardiographic patterns of monitored patients, correctly identifying, interpreting, and reporting heart rhythms and rates, and notifying appropriate personnel of significant changes. The technician must also respond appropriately to emergency situations by documenting rhythms during a code situation and notifying physicians and staff. Additionally, the position requires performing skilled clerical and receptionist duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
- Complete a basic dysrhythmia course with an acceptable score during orientation
- Complete an annual recertification course in basic dysrhythmia with an acceptable score
- At least 6 months related work experience as a Telemetry (Monitor) Technician
Responsibilities
