About The Position

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Monitor Technician to work 7PM-7AM. The role involves documenting and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips, performing independent checks of strips, assigning telemetry monitoring as ordered by physicians, and effectively communicating telemetry-related patient information to the healthcare team. The technician will continuously check the telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order and demonstrate knowledge of escalating medical emergencies and the Code Blue process. Additional relevant duties may be performed as needed.

Responsibilities

• Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
• Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm.
• Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician.
• Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team.
• Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
• Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
• May perform relevant duties as needed.
