About The Position

The Telemetry Technician in the Central Surveillance Unit is responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, performing clerical duties, and maintaining an organized work environment. This role requires accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and timely communication with nursing staff regarding any lethal arrhythmias. The position is full-time, working night shifts with variable hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• One (1) year previous telemetry experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Previous clerical, receptionist, or physician's office experience preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to use Welch Allyn Acuity Monitoring System accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a unit clerk in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English required.
• Possess emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and differentiate between lethal, serious, and benign rhythms.
• Inform the RN of a lethal arrhythmia in a timely manner.

Benefits

• Salary range of $42.22 - $48.23 plus applicable shift differential.
