About The Position

The Telemetry Technician Support Associate (TT/CSA) at Sutter Health is responsible for continuous monitoring of telemetry rhythms, interpreting EKGs, and collaborating with nursing staff and physicians. This role involves entering telemetry orders accurately, maintaining patient confidentiality, and performing clerical duties to support patient care. The TT/CSA acts as a resource for the care team, ensuring efficient operations within the department while demonstrating competency in rhythm interpretation and patient monitoring.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of EKG Course/testing within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of a course in cardiac monitoring with demonstrated competency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification within 60 days of hire.
• Demonstrated experience in patient care services area.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Spanish may be required.
• Coursework in medical terminology strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry rhythms continuously and accurately interpret EKGs.
• Enter and monitor telemetry specific orders in the telemetry system.
• Prioritize work duties based on judgment and direction from nursing staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in all communications.
• Assist in coordinating department activities with nursing staff.
• Perform clerical duties, including electronic healthcare auditing and data retrieval.
• Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate understanding of process principles in problem-solving.
