Requirements

• REQUIRED LPN/PARAMEDIC/EMT
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience
• BLS
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Medical Terminology
• Demonstrated competency in EKG/arrhythmia interpretation
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or Certified Cardiac Technician (CCT) within 6 months of employment
• MONITOR TECHNICIAN
• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• BLS
• Medical Terminology
• Demonstrated competency in EKG/arrhythmia interpretation
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or Certified Cardiac Technician (CCT)

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in healthcare related field of study
• 1 year supervisory experience
• Graduate from an accredited CVT program
• National certification in specialty area

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight of the operations of the Central Monitoring Unit.
• Resolves concerns related to human resources, telemetry capacity, scheduling issues, and equipment functionality.
• Serves as a communication liaison with all departments that provide telemetry monitoring.
• Responsible for departmental processes that support accurate record keeping and observation of telemetry monitors.
• Promptly identifies and escalates cardiac rhythm changes to appropriate nursing personnel.
• May perform the duties of a Monitor Technician as needed.
• In the absence of the manager, may assume 24-hour responsibility for the department.
