Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and critical care protocols.
- Proficiency in physical examinations, urgent care practices, and airway management techniques.
- Experience with neonatal ventilators and IV insertion procedures.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization processes and critical care transport protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient education.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment.
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' conditions.
- Provide urgent care as needed for patients experiencing acute symptoms.
- Manage neonatal ventilators and perform airway management for patients requiring respiratory support.
- Insert IVs and administer medications as prescribed.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately while documenting patient information and communicating with the healthcare team.
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures as necessary.
- Participate in critical care transport for patients needing transfer to specialized facilities.
- Perform suturing when required, ensuring proper wound care and management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment to enhance patient outcomes.
