  • Deliver high quality, patient centered care to cardiac patients monitoring for age related arrhythmias.
  • Provide competent, continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpretation.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of equipment.
  • Act as a positive team participant on patient care units.
  • Maintain courteous interactions with visitors, patients, and medical staff.
  • Support unit and hospital philosophy, goals and objectives.
  • Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols.
  • Perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.
  • Six months or more of telemetry monitoring experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of specialty equipment and tools: Telemetry monitoring system management.
  • Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and interpretation skills.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
