About The Position

Telemetry Monitor Technician/Central Tele Monitoring (Full-time/Nights) Here’s What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required Telemetry monitoring experience preferred CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology What You Will Do Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment. Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately. Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification. Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care. Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission. Notifies patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in patient’s monitor view. Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to co-workers, nurses, and physicians/providers. Completes safety checklists and quality controls as required. Assures that alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible. Cleans all monitors per manufacturer’s instructions after each use. Reports equipment malfunction and/or failure immediately per escalation procedures. Answers telephone, intercom, and/or Vocera timely and in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate party. Maintains an orderly and clean work area in compliance with regulatory standards.
