Responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides nurse/clinician with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythm. Monitors heart rhythm patterns to detect, record, and report normal/abnormal heart patterns, normal/abnormal ECG interval measurements and proper/improper pacemaker or implantable defibrillator function utilizing telemetry equipment. SHIFT AND SCHEDULE Full Time, Nights, 6:45pm-7:15am ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Follows expected workflows and processes set up for the delivery of non-clinical and clinical care. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm patterns and prior variances. Observes cardiac monitor and notifies the nursing and/or medical staff of any abnormal heart rhythm variances. Manages telemetry equipment and supplies. Must successfully complete a competency examination as defined by department competency requirements for Telemetry Monitor Technicians. Obtain certification as a monitor technician by an approved organization to be designated MT II. Certification is the Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification
