About The Position

The Telemetry Monitor Technician position at Texas Health Alliance is a full-time role located in the Central Monitor Room. This fast-paced area is looking for top skilled Monitor Techs to join their team. The work hours are during the day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a requirement of 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. The position offers growth potential and complete benefits. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• 1 year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring or completion of an educational program which includes telemetry monitoring.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in the setup and use of telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Collect, report, and document patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
• Distinguish and report abnormalities and initiate action to provide continuity of care.
• Ensure admission/dismissals are processed promptly and prepare the monitor for admission.
• Communicate promptly about perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance.
• Assist with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
