About The Position

The Telematics Strategic Sales Manager is a critical “hunter” role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities that result in the sale of WEX Telematics products and services within the Enterprise Commercial & Government segments. This is a unique sales position that will work within the United States to grow revenue. The ideal candidate will apply a solution selling approach to customized multi-product/multi-vendor solutions with hardware, software, and services. Growth is achieved by visiting new prospects face to face in an effort to learn their business, propose innovative solutions, and ultimately close new business. The ideal candidate will set customers expectations that are inline with product benefits and position team members in Customer Success Management for success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years National Account and/or Government Agency sales experience in a SaaS based field, preferably in the Telematics or Fleet Management industry.
  • Google Work Suite of applications, Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Very organized, ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Travel: Overnight Travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Apply a solution selling approach to customized multi-product/multi-vendor solutions (hardware, software, and services).
  • Employ a Growth Mindset to maintain expert level knowledge of current and competitive telematics solutions.
  • Act as a Trusted Partner to customers, partners and colleagues in order to contribute to strategic evolution and financial growth of the WEX Telematics business unit.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities that lead to regular exceeding of monthly quotas.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients to assist with reorders, upsells, and renewals.
  • Manage customer contract negotiations with the support of management, finance, legal and other teams.
  • Manage pricelists related to supplier contracts required for government sales access, such as GSA, Sourcewell, and NASPO.
  • Develop and maintain a large pipeline of new and existing opportunities using Salesforce.
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external strategic relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other Fuel Card teams, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Operations & external partners.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all WEX Telematics products, services, and the financial impact of new customer acquisition, staying abreast of current industry trends.
  • Develops and maintains key internal and external strategic and business relationships critical to the success of the WEX Telematics Business.
  • Complete understanding of salesforce.com and experience with effectively managing >100 opportunities.
  • Ability to cultivate a fundamental sales pipeline and manage each opportunity through the sales process.
  • Ability to manage multiple large projects at one time and work with team members from other departments to ensure the success of the project.
