About The Position

Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater is a freestanding, full service 144-bed psychiatric hospital specializing in successful treatment of acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. Located in beautiful, picturesque Clearwater, Florida, the hospital is conveniently located and accessible 24 hours/day for admissions. Treatment programs and specialty services include substance abuse, dual diagnosis / rapid stabilization, 24-hour mental health assessment and partial hospitalization. We are pleased to announce the following available position: Therapist (LCSW, LMHC) – M-F, 8 Hr. Shifts, required to work evenings.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or doctoral from an accredited college or university in Social Work.
  • Current license from State of Florida required for LMHC and LCSW to deliver outpatient services.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy preferred.
  • CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment.
  • Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, OSHA and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their family members, multidisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives and external agencies in a clear, concise, calm, professional manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and run an evening IOP Tele-health program.
  • Conduct therapeutic services for patients and provide counseling sessions for families, individuals and groups.
  • Interview and develop the psychosocial history.
  • Assess the therapeutic needs of the individual and family and make clinical mental health evaluations.
  • Develop appropriate treatment objectives and establish periodic treatment summaries.
  • Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patients’ stay at the facility.
  • Advocate for patients with the treatment team.
  • Participate as liaison with external agencies and individuals to develop and coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and patients’ families.
