This position will report to the Electric Boat End User Services Manager in the IT Department. Successful candidates will assist with development and support telephony infrastructure and evaluation of new telecommunications solutions for business needs. Candidates duties will include but not be limited to: processing and management of voice telecommunications, moves, adds, changes and vendor analysis along with troubleshooting and problem resolution, execute and schedule daily service orders as required while providing technical support and guidance to end users. Analyze and verify vendor invoices and prepare disbursement vouchers. Resolve telecommunications billing inquiries, and other billing issues as needed Candidate will share office responsibilities with a group of peers. Cross training on all office functions is required to ensure full coverage of all responsibilities. Candidates must be willing to adapt as requirements change, collaborate with internal and external teams, leadership and business partners.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of relevant telecommunications experience
  • A positive attitude and ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are necessary to facilitate communications across multiple levels and with external vendors.
  • Highly motivated, forward thinking and well organized. Has ability to work well independently and with a team.
  • Demonstrates a strong research and good decision making skills along with the capibility to manage costs and ensure inventory are utilized to the fullest extent possible.
  • MS Office Proficiency.
  • 3 years of office work experience via telecommunications
  • Working knowledge of digital and analog voice networks
  • Basic knowledge of cellular devices and principles
  • Familiar with telephony reporting, invoicing and overall procurement processes
