About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MDU, Fiber Telecommunications Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various telecommunications systems, requiring strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment
• Familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts
• Experience with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and alarm system sales is a plus
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers
• Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with telecommunication systems, including phone lines, internet connections, and network equipment
• Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of telecommunications systems
• Test and evaluate new telecommunications products and technologies
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and resolve technical issues
• Provide technical support to customers and assist with resolving any telecommunication-related problems
• Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
