About The Position

The Telecommunications Technician supports the Information Technology (IT) team and business operations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the system operations. This role maintains telecommunication equipment, ensuring quality control, security protocols and responding to user issues and outages.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or a related field required.
• 1-3 years of experience working with network cabling, fiber optics, wireless systems, and VoIP technology preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, and maintains voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
• Maintains equipment and provides basic troubleshooting.
• Documents tasks effectively and timely.
• Performs system testing and signal verification.
• Performs system moves and changes as needed.
• Monitors quality controls, security and stability across the system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
