About The Position

The Telecommunications Specialist at Information Systems of Maryland, LLC is responsible for installing, operating, programming, and maintaining telecommunications hardware and software, specifically focusing on hosted VoIP solutions. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, program, and maintain telecommunications hardware and software for customers on a hosted VoIP solution.
• Assess telecommunication needs and assist with circuit installation, acting as a liaison between customers and carriers.
• Program, analyze, and resolve problems related to telecommunications systems' software and hardware.
• Meet with customers to determine telecommunication needs and prepare preliminary design proposals.
• Coordinate installation with vendors and provide ongoing technical and operational assistance for telecommunications systems.
• Schedule and oversee contracted maintenance and repair services.
• Coordinate moves, adds, and changes of telecommunication equipment, including obtaining estimates and authorizations.
• Install and test telecommunication components, including analog circuits and T1 lines.
• Train end users in the use of telecommunication equipment in various settings.
• Respond to technical emergencies as needed.
