About The Position

The Telecommunications Project Associate supports voice, data, and cable TV telecommunications initiatives across Ensign-affiliated facilities. This role partners with internal teams, vendors, and facility leadership to ensure efficient delivery, optimization, and maintenance of telecom services while controlling costs and supporting service continuity.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of IT or telecommunications project exposure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to escalate issues and assist in resolution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Up to 25% or more travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting service restoration activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating voice, data, and related telecommunications projects from order placement through service activation.
  • Support communication between vendors, internal IT teams, and facility leadership to help ensure projects stay on track.
  • Track orders, timelines, and milestones; escalate issues or delays to senior team members as needed.
  • Help coordinate technician scheduling, installations, and service turn-ups.
  • Assist with testing and validation of new or changed services (voice lines, fax, elevator phones, emergency lines, etc.).
  • Support service restoration efforts during outages or migrations under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Help gather documentation such as CSRs, LOAs, and number porting information.
  • Maintain and update telecom inventory, circuit records, and service documentation.
  • Enter and track requests and updates in systems such as ServiceNow and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure changes and updates are accurately documented.
  • Assist with auditing telecom services for accuracy and potential cost savings.
  • Support the billing team by gathering information for billing questions, disputes, and credits.
  • Help coordinate service disconnects and equipment returns with vendors.
  • Work closely with senior team members to learn telecom processes and best practices.
  • Communicate status updates clearly and professionally.
  • Support related services such as Cable TV and other facility communication systems.
