About The Position

CompTech is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer in support of our customer the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is an agency of the Department of Defense and the DLA Information Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), Network & Telecommunications Services (NTS), Local Area Network Branch (NTS-LAN) and is located enterprise wide at multiple DLA locations. We support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the Local Area Network (LAN). The engineer manages and ensures the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment, operations, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of network operations experience.
• Experience in telecommunications network design and management.
• Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems.
• Experience in performing and providing for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time.
• Support wired and wireless LAN functions.
• Provide skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support.
• Update the system baseline as changes are imposed during the lifecycle.
