About The Position

Installing, configuring, and testing telecommunications systems and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with project requirements Conducting routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance on telecommunications hardware and network infrastructure Troubleshooting and resolving service interruptions, identifying hardware faults and correcting configurations as needed Preparing detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures for compliance and operational records Collaborating with engineering teams to implement upgrades or modifications to telecommunications systems and networks FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING #LI-TF1

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a telecommunications mechanic role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and technical specifications
  • Proficient in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for configuring telecommunications networks and associated hardware components
  • Skilled in troubleshooting connectivity issues and performing routine diagnostics using specialized tools such as network analyzers and signal testers
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with advanced telecommunications technologies, including VoIP systems and fiber-optic networks
  • Proficiency in using telecommunications management platforms and software for monitoring and optimizing system performance
  • Demonstrated experience working with secure communications protocols and equipment
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecommunications systems
