About The Position
Job Description – Telecommunications Engineer III Location: Miami Beach, FL / San Diego, CA / San Francisco, CA Working Model: Hybrid (In-office/field 3–4 days weekly, remote 1–2 days weekly) Role Overview This role involves performing site surveys, evaluating multi-tenant buildings, and designing in-building broadband network solutions. The candidate will work hands-on with network cabling, coordinate installations, and develop documentation to support broadband service feasibility. Sponsor Highlights / Key Requirements Hands-on experience with coax/Ethernet cabling. Conduct site surveys, identify coax junction points, and inspect building network infrastructure. May require tools to open locked enclosures. Provide installation recommendations for in-building broadband services. Experience working on ladders and rooftops. Some site surveys require accessing flat rooftops using ladders or roof hatches. Experience coordinating with property owners. Candidate schedules site surveys directly with building management. Ability to generate simple network design layouts. Include building layout, photos, and basic equipment placement. General building structure knowledge. Needed to provide feasible installation recommendations.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in designing and installing in-building network architectures.
- Experience with identifying and preventing work area hazards.
- Familiarity with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals).
- Four-year college degree or equivalent field experience.
- Hands-on experience with coax/Ethernet cabling.
- Conduct site surveys, identify coax junction points, and inspect building network infrastructure.

- Provide installation recommendations for in-building broadband services.

Responsibilities
- Design and install equipment for transmitting broadband data over in-building networks.
- Work with coax, twisted pair copper, fiber optic cabling, and related switching/networking equipment.
- Coordinate installation of new in-building networks or related upgrades.
- Evaluate multi-tenant residential and business properties for compatibility with broadband systems.
- Manage large-scale broadband build projects ensuring timely planning and execution.
- Produce technical documentation supporting service feasibility assessments.
- Provide operational support to local field engineering and sales teams.
