About The Position

The role involves administering and supporting the corporate VoIP system and wireless telephone systems for the organization. The position requires close collaboration with the Director of Information Technology to ensure that telephony and wireless solutions align with current business needs and strategy. The work environment is hybrid, with on-site days at the Lilly Rd. office in Menomonee Falls, WI. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Associates/2-year degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of internal experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience administering a business VoIP phone system in a corporate environment with one or more call centers.
  • Previous experience working with telecommunication vendors in selection activities, implementation, troubleshooting, and/or negotiating service rates.
  • Knowledge of call center design and call routing techniques.
  • Ability to maintain accurate, detailed, and organized documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to remain organized with multiple interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Knowledge of networking and network configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Act as main contact for all telephony and wireless solutions, including VoIP phone systems in multiple locations.
  • Troubleshoot common errors, determine necessary upgrades, and deploy new lines of service.
  • Organize and maintain all information related to internal and external numbers, including extension numbering strategy.
  • Maintain active contact with vendors for all telephony and wireless solutions to ensure timely issue resolution and explore service expansion.
  • Monitor telecom systems to ensure appropriate sizing and scaling based on call volumes and system usage.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to plan strategy and call treatments for queues, voicemail, IVR, and reporting.
  • Accurately implement call treatments, system upgrades, and new features with appropriate documentation.
  • Plan and implement telephony solutions for unique circumstances such as severe weather and disaster recovery.
  • Assess needs, research potential solutions and vendors, and provide recommendations for new services and systems.
  • Review all telecommunication and wireless carrier invoices for accuracy.
  • Prepare and distribute reports related to telephony and wireless solutions, including weekly phone circuit utilization reports.
  • Train new and continuing users on available services to ensure correct usage and increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to assess and resolve security concerns related to current or new solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technology to meet business needs.
  • Present telephony technology and capabilities to external clients.
