About The Position

The Telecom Business Analyst is responsible for project planning, circuit administration, and supporting the telecom and data infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN, wireless technologies, network security, VoIP, and datacenter switching. This position works closely with clients, vendors, carriers and other technical and non-technical staff to support business and technical requirements. The Telecommunications Analyst demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of analyst experience required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in the installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of the following areas of Cable plant technologies (SM, OM3, OM4, UTP), Telephony and Data Circuits (T1, PRI, DS-3, Ethernet).
  • Demonstrates knowledge in the support and maintenance of the following areas of Call Distribution Services (ACD, IVR, Contact Centers), Auxiliary Telephony Services (System Paging, Call Recording), Telephony Transport Protocols and Technologies (SIP, H.323, T.34).
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and procedures related to telephony system design.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures related to Project Management. Specifically defining milestones, tracking progress, and reporting project status.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of complete systems development and deployment lifecycle and of all facets of telephony in a large scale IT operations unit
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language with all levels of Hospital personnel and representatives of outside agencies.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate both in verbal and written form to facilitate problem solving, create procedure documentation and provide training.
  • The ability to protect the confidential nature of the information within the IT department.
  • Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and be able to meet objectives with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage low voltage wiring projects of all types. This includes but is not limited to (1) add/Move/Changes to existing wiring, (2) New Construction, (3) Remodeling projects, (4) Physician office practice on-boarding.
  • Provide project management for staff and contractors. This includes participating in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects and will involve interfacing with other Project Managers, Contract Management staff, Technical Personnel, as well as other organizations.
  • Develop charts, Project Management Plans, and other forms of project documentation.
  • ?Support various data management requirements including proofread documents, develop response packages and other documents as needed. Perform document formatting and quality assurance activities.
  • ?Provides support with monitoring and evaluating compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates through project audits.
  • Manage specified project objectives, project constraints (scope, schedule, cost, quality, etc.), project risk, and coordinate with project manager and other resources as needed. Gather, document and analyze output of business and data requirements using any of the following methodologies: use cases, function/non function requirements, epics/user stories.
  • Reports detailed information and analyzes data in support of project cost/schedule status and follows established procedures while contributing to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
  • Manages all aspects of data and telephony circuits. This includes but is not limited to: circuit setup, billing setup, contract review, processing bills, and circuit terminations.
  • Manages and monitors ongoing billing for circuits and works with vendors to resolve any billing issues.
  • Manages relationships with circuit providers and other IT vendors
  • Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to circuit configuration and processes.
  • ?Participates in the development of solutions to a variety of tasks moderate in scope and complexity.
  • ??Ensure compliance with organizational requirements and business processes, including but not limited to, product life-cycle management, records management, and historical archiving and document development.
  • Improve systems or process by studying current practices, identifying process improvements, and designing modifications.
  • Maintain and provide support for external and internal cable plant.
  • Maintain and provide support for all telephony circuits.
  • Participates in the on-call rotation for after-hours telephony system support.
  • Investigates and analyzes telephony problems and issues associated with telephony electronics (phone, network switches, and routers/gateways), and cable plant.
  • Provides second tier support to other IT staff for issues relating to voice and video communications.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
