About The Position

EDC Consulting is seeking a Carrier Grade Telecom Technician to conduct in-depth site surveys at Navy installations across the United States. The technician will identify Telco points of entry and prepare for MPLS circuit installation in collaboration with Local Exchange Carriers (LECs). Responsibilities include assessing and documenting the state and adequacy of site wiring, determining and recommending new wiring routes, creating and maintaining accurate site documentation, and preparing detailed Site Survey Reports. The role also involves developing site-specific migration plans, including high-level CONOPS and timelines for transition activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-10 years of experience as Carrier Grade Telecom Technician/Engineer.
• Experience with telephony infrastructure, TDM Trunks (PRI/T1), Channel Service Units (CSUs), dial plans, and routing patterns.
• Knowledge of IP/MPLS, fax machines, elevator alarms, STU-III/ST, E&M, analog, and PRI/T1 circuits.
• Ability to provision new telecom circuits and wiring in a DOD/IC enterprise environment.
• BS/BA STEM Degree or related fields.
• Certifications: BICSI, RCDD, CCNA.
• Must be a US Citizen for Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities
