Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Telecom team! This position requires an Illinois SE professional license and is open to a remote work arrangement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required, structural emphasis preferred.
  • 7+ years of related engineering experience is required. Telecommunications structural engineering experience highly preferred.
  • Illinois SE (Structural Engineer) licensure is required.
  • Proficient with RISA 3D, tnxTower, and other structural analysis software as applicable.
  • Demonstrate extensive, diversified, and complex knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate advanced investigative, analytical and research skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and/or review traditional mount and tower analyses and modification designs.
  • Prepare and/or review complex telecommunication structure analyses and modification designs with limited guidance.
  • Prepare or review scopes of work and budgets and schedule assignments.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to engineering designers, project engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Perform field investigations/site visits, as needed.
  • Provide technical support for specific delegated tasks.
  • Perform Engineer of Record duties for structural telecommunication projects in multiple states.
