About The Position

The Telecom Installer Apprentice position at Telamon is a paid apprenticeship program designed to train inexperienced employees in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment. The program aims to fast-track apprentices from a Level I Installer to a Level IV Installer over three years, combining classroom learning with hands-on training. Apprentices will work under the supervision of experienced mentors, gaining practical experience in the field while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Aptitude and interest in technology.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate well and pay attention to detail.
• Proficiency with a computer, tablet, and MS Office.

• Supervising experience.
• Electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply well-established safety practices.
• Maintain quality awareness and implement quality control processes.
• Inventory all job-related material.
• Read and stay current on installation standards.
• Install or remove non-powered equipment/hardware.
• Perform the duties of a Level I or II Installer when directly supervised by qualified personnel.
