About The Position

The Telecom Commercial Premise Technician - Level IV is responsible for performing detailed site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of Customer Premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and efficient installation of telecom equipment in compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years installation experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
High school diploma and two years technical training or equivalent experience in telecommunications field installations.
Proficient in laptop computer skills and applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks.
Comply with OSHA Standards and company safety requirements.
Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces.

Responsibilities

Master installation skills and testing per Telco Standards, handling all Level IV tasks with competence and accuracy.
Execute comprehensive equipment installations, system testing, and integration for fiber systems.
Utilize knowledge of transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper.
Interpret and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, and wiring documentation.
Ensure accuracy in all required documentation.
Interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues to complete, test, and activate equipment.
Review subordinate's time and expense documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Comply with system update requirements for installation documents.
Resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
Generate and apply MOPs, high-risk activity reports, and project completion reports.
Perform in-process and final quality audits to meet industry/customer standards.
