About The Position

The TEF3 Maintenance Manager at Bosch in Lincolnton, NC, is responsible for establishing a robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) structure and enhancing the competence of the maintenance team. This role emphasizes continuous improvement, effective communication, and a servant leadership approach to foster a high-performing maintenance organization. The manager will utilize data-driven strategies to address key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure technical support staffing is well-prepared to meet operational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience interacting closely with maintenance staff.
  • Working understanding of TPM program requirements.
  • Experience in process development and/or manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead in a multi-cultural, diverse, international working environment.
  • Experience interfacing with Lead Plants and International Production Networks.
  • Exceptional continuous improvement process skills in direct and indirect areas.
  • Emphasis on a culture of appreciation and servant leadership.
  • Strong proactive, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implements a highly mature TPM structure with a focus on continuous improvement, planned maintenance, and competence development.
  • Leads the team in achieving critical KPI targets such as OEE %, technical availability, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Develops and deploys improvement strategies with minimal supervision.
  • Builds a planned maintenance program with high on-time completion rates and documented PM work standards.
  • Participates in business planning cycles and target setting.
  • Follows BPS (Lean Production) guidelines and improves BPS maturity levels.
  • Supports new product launches to enhance performance post-SOP.
  • Builds technical competence through tracking and documentation of necessary skills.
  • Communicates effectively with technicians, value stream managers, and executives.
  • Implements organizational initiatives with minimal guidance.
  • Leads meetings to foster team spirit and share company updates.
  • Collaborates with local colleges to strengthen the technical apprentice program.
  • Instills a 5S mindset within the team.
  • Coaches and develops associates to achieve their career goals.
  • Manages a spare parts crib team to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize downtime.
  • Develops and implements cost reduction strategies in maintenance and spare parts activities.
  • Supports the Industry 4.0 roadmap and initiatives for improved data transparency.
