About The Position

The Temporary Summer Program Specialist for the Teen and Young Adult Program at Hudson Guild is responsible for facilitating engaging activities that promote personal growth, social interaction, and educational development among participants. This role involves collaboration with the program manager and staff to create a stimulating environment for teens in the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience facilitating group and individual activities for teens and young adults.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement programs and events that address the needs and interests of teens in the community.
• Collaborate with the Teen Services manager to develop program goals, objectives, and themes.
• Provide guidance and support to teen participants, including addressing any behavioral or disciplinary issues that may arise.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with teens, families, and community partners.
• Publicize and promote events using various channels, including social media and flyers.
• Assist with outreach activities, including attending community events and presenting at schools as needed.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for program improvement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Establish clear objectives for each lesson and project.
• Evaluate activities to determine if they are producing desired results, and meeting the needs of the students.
• Implement development of student skills in the activity, and leading up to final projects if applicable.
• Responsible for recruitment and retention.

Benefits

• Part-time position with a pay rate of $25 an hour.
